Dubai: Dubai Spaceship Hotel Will Give You the Heebie Jeebies – Gizmodo via HotelChatter – Jenna – 13 August 08
Gizmodo brought us news of Dubai’s Ras Al-Khaimah Gateway, a hotel, conference and exhibition complex that measures 2.9 million square feet. The 200-meter-high tower will be a “5 star plus” hotel and is due to begin construction later this year.
And just…look at it. It’s straight outta some creepy dream or ripped off of some crazy 90’s movie set in the year 2050. Actually, we think Giz described it best, saying the building “looks like some kind of alien mothership from outer space.”
… which makes it look like a spaceship that dropped out of the sky and landed on a beach — after the jump.
